Annie and her Calf

This painting of early March on the farm with the golden pastures features Annie and her new calf.  She is one of our charolais cows and the breed originated in France.  They are wonderful mothers and gorgeous to paint.  Annie and her calf are mostly in shadows which are subtle tones of cool blues and lavenders.
