Josephine

A portrait of one of our new black/white heifers who will be having their first calf next year if all goes well.  I enjoy painting the light hitting a black cow and creating the sense of fur and volume.  In this close-up portrait of Josephine you can see the delicate whiskers and eyelashes against the light and shadow if the cropped body.
