At the Museum (after Morandi)

The older I get the more interesting Morandi's paintings are.  The obsession he must of had with the many ways of arranging his simple objects on the picture plane and the interesting spaces between is something most artists can relate to.  

Painting this series brings me a little bit into the mindset of the artist.  It can sometimes give one chills, in a good way.  As always, my personified bovines reflect elements and the mood of the painting and engage the viewer in a dialogue about art, museums, and the upside down world we inhabit.
